We have just got a judgement for overpayment of child support in Ontario Canada. We would like to put a lien on the person's house, which we know is titled in their name. I've heard that the lien becomes due on renewing of mortgage or selling of property and that also the lien is only valid for six years. If the bank renews mortgage and does not do a lien check we may not get paid. First off, is this information correct and if so, is there some way to make sure we get paid when mortgage renewal comes due. Thanks.

I live in toronto and I have a judgement on my name that is 2 years old. Nobody followed on this and I don't expect them to. Does this judgement expire?? How do I get rid of it? Also does this show on my credit report?

I put a lien on my son's mortgage last year, and I would like to cancel this lien.
Do I need to go to a lawyer or can I and how do it myself
