View Full Version : I'm having trouble with my period...

My period is really strange... For months it's been going from bleeding a lot to bleeding a little, then to stopping for a few days, then it goes back to bleeding.
Sometimes I'll go a week of spotting, before the lbeeding comes back.
There was a two week point where my period had a lot of black stuff (which I believe is blood clots) coming out. It stopped and continued on with normal bleeding.
During those months, I felt relatively fine; no dizzyness, sickness, or cramping. I was just bleeding.
However, lately I've been feeling horrible cramps that lead me to feeling sick to my stomach. I also sometimes get random dizzy moments where I stagger slightly. They usually don't last long and I easily regain my balance. I mostly feel dizzy after waking up and trying to get out of bed.

I wanted to know if I can fix this myself instead of having to visit a doctor. Lately my family has been going to the doctor a lot and I'd rather not have my bills pile on top of what we already have... Of course I'll go to one if I really must.

Notes: I am not taking any pills, except occasional over the counter acid reducer. I am 18 and also obese.

You need to see a doctor for bloodwork and a physical. Being obese can cause severe health issues. Please go!

There's really nothing you can do to fix this at home. Constant bleeding, dizziness, that's something your doctor has to address. There's a reason this is going on, and there are many possibilities, none of which we can even guess over the internet.

It really is in your best interest to see your doctor.

Good luck.
