My husband bought a truck and recd title & bill of sale. He messed up on the back of the title when he checked the odometer box & marked in the sale price. Took it to tag office to register it here in TN. The tag office said it looked altered & we needed a new one. I have been trying for 4 weeks to get help from the woman we bought it from. She has not responded to any of my cummunication yet. I have sent 2 letters to the address & also found her Facebook page & have sent her messages on there. Since legally the truck is still in her name I need her to meet me at a one day tag office to request a new title. I have offered to pay for everything even her time but still no response. What else can I do?

Nothing. It is not her responsibility, as long as she has turned in or transferred her plates. Go back to your DMV and tell them that she is long gone, and plead your case again.
