I got into a fender bender on a hill coming up to the red light I was destracted by a question I was asked by a client and next thing I know I slammed on my breaks hitting the car in front of the cops was called and I had insurance card that did exp. Until 12/22/12 and the cops asked if I had insurance and I wasn't sure because I missed a few payment and I want to know will and how long will my DL be suspended for and will it do any good to renew my insurance

How long depends on your driving record (and if they suspended it for an accident like this it must be bad)... and if you don't get that insurance reinstated retroactively... you are going to be in even MORE trouble...

What state is this... in some states lack of insurance triggers license plate suspensions and that will trigger inoperative vehicle fines in many localities...

You are stuck on the following to close and the accident... but they will drop the no insurance citation if you go show them proof of insurance... I'm sure there is a time limit on that... like 2 weeks to a month before that one sticks too. THat one is easy to resolve... I'd recommend doing that asap.
