Hi. I'm 6 weeks, 4 days pregnant. Yesterday I went for my first ultrasound and was told I'm measuring 5 weeks, 5 days and that it's too early for a heartbeat. However, I'm certain of my dates as I marked my LMP on the calendar and I did an ovulation kit as well. Even if I'm off a day or two, there's no way I'm off 6 days. My doc said to come back in a week for another scan and that I have a 50/50 chance of everything being fine. But EVERYTHING I'm reading online indicates that's a very, very optimistic view of what's happening here. Do I really have that good of a chance that this pregnancy will be normal?

Pregnancy this early is really too early to date. Follow your doctor's advice. The Internet can really be a dangerous place. Don't put any value in what you are reading as it can be very inaccurate.
