Possible reasons for pain in forearm. Can't move wrist hurts to bad and able to move fingers but it hurts as well. Nothing specific caused it woke up this way. Been going on for 4 days didn't start this way but getting worse. Doctor won't be able check it out for two more hours. Things to try in the meantime to lower pain. Took 1 IB.

CTS can originate in the forearm. Have you seen a doctor about this? If not, I would recommend you do so.

Then she is just going to have to wait. Any other medication would require a prescription.

There are so many nerves down the arm that it just is too much work to sort all out, unless they find a ganglion or neuroma or some other 'clump' pressing on a nerve or nerves.
Sometimes it just starts for no reason, or you slept on your arm wrong, or lifted something the wrong way.
The usual cause these days (as stated) is carpal tunnel from using the computer in a way that positions the shoulder, arm, and wrist in a awkward way for sustained periods.

I am having carpal tunnel surgery this coming Friday, and yes it can effect the arm at first, then the hand, and no, it doesn't have to be repetitive typing, it can be just moving people around the same way, same arm, constantly.

Advil helps me and cold compresses, and of course a proper hand and wrist brace.

Good luck Friday tickle.
I was going to ask 'Who's going to cook Thanksgiving dinner' and remembered you are in Canada.
I get pain in my right elbow and wrist from repetitive mousing. I constantly adjust my arm so that my wrist isn't bent sideways. It helps to sit with the keypad slightly sideways.

Thanks joy. I will be off for a week with a cast on my hand!

Get yourself a Velcro fastener wrist brace, it really helps.

YES I keep meaning to. I also wear compression gloves for arthritis, plus now that it's cold I wear winter gloves with the finger tips cut off. Basically a wreck from head to toe.
