A couple of days ago, me and my fiancé left for the gym. We both went to the bathroom, it flushed fine. But when we got back, I used the bathroom. Just a one, not even toilet paper to wipe the seat. I realized the toilet wouldn't flush. And so I plunged it. Sewage began to back up in to the shower. I lifted the toilet, snaked the drain. Snaked the shower drain, came back with nothing.

She is now mopping up water, she through it down the sink drain in the bathroom. It also backed up the shower. What's going on here?

Layout of the bathroom is this.

|toilet-------shower--

_ door ____sink__ |

Just in case a layout means anything, I'm no where near a plumbing expert.

It's for sure that you have a blockage downstream from the shower and if you snaked from the shower drain you didn't b run out enough snake to reach the clog,
You can snake this from several locations.
1- Remove the strainer and snake from the shower **OR**
2- Snake from the lavatory roof vent. Put out enough snake to reach the base and 15 more feet, Good luck, Tom.
