Hello,
I started filling my 1040NR-EZ form, as I was told by a lady at IRS that I'm eligible for it [I was in the US under a j1 visa in 2005 during july6 and sept 27, and then in 2006 during july4 and oct4 in NJ].
On my w2 forms I have in box14 2 taxes: "nj-sdi" and "ui/hc/wd".
1) Are those considered local or state taxes? Do I add them with the state taxes for the amount on line 11 in the 1040NR-EZ?
If they aren't local or state taxes, do I have to put them anywhere on my 1040nr-ez?
2) My 2005 tax return was filled by taxback.com . What do I put on line 19?

Also, if I want to file for state tax return, what form(s) do I need? Can I send them with the Federal return, or do they need to be in different envelopes?

Thank you very much,
Kind regards.

1) No, they are insurance payments. You CANNOT claim them anywhere on Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ

2) Not sure.

Go to the NJ state government website to get the required forms. They need to be mailed to the NJ Tax department in Trenton, NJ.
