Car turns over but not starting. When it doesn't start my green key light in dash does not light up. Tried new ignition switch with no luck, heard a lot of things to fix prob but don't want to waste money need help

99 accord ex. I'm thinking due to green security code that the ignitions not reading the key. It won't even come out of park while the cars turning over so I'm thinking security issue and needs new ignition and keys but not 100% sure. I used to be able to hit steering wheel to get green key light on then car will start but that's not working anymore with main key or valet key just turns over. Been going on for months now off and on
