As the title says I am 16 and REALLY like a 30 year old guy in my tae Kwon do class... I don't know if he likes me back. I think he flirts with me. He treats me more gently than anyone else there, he smiles and makes eye contact with me when we talk, one day we talked and afterwards he gave me a few gentle pats on my back. When my instructor asks how our group did something he always teases me and says I did something wrong in a sarcastic voice. What should I do? I've known him for 4 years but now I have been getting attracted to him, his personality is just amazing.

You should forget your attraction to him. You are too young for a man this age.

This is kind of hard to answer... you being 16 I don't think you should try to get involved with someone that much older then you... if something went wrong he could get in a lot of trouble. If anything staying friends is probably the best thing to do right now?
Sorry it wasn't much help.
Hope things work out for you.

You stay away from him. He should not be flirting with you and could get in serious trouble if this took a more physical turn. Then again you could be mis reading him.
Cool it kid. He's too old anyway.

I don't mean it like sexually or anything. Not doing anything like that till I'm married.

your welcome...
Either way someone being that much older then you isn't the smartest idea...

Thank you. I can't really stay away from him cause he is on my tae Kwon do class though, but I will emotionally stay away from him if that makes sense

You are to young and he is like 14 years older.
It might seem like he is flirting or whatever, but he is actually being nice and encouraging
You. Most adults do that. My teacher was like that to me because I was very shy and the smallest and littlest.

The main trouble with 16 and 30, aside from the legal risks, is that a relationship just has so little chance of lasting very long past the first romantic stage, and the pain for the 16 year old is usually much greater than for the older person. Not always, but usually.
Enjoy having a sort of crush on someone who is nice to you. Crushes are good for you at 16. You could say 'Do you have a younger brother as nice as you?' He might grimace a little at that, but should be able to take it as a compliment.

Honestly and truthfully I was kind of in your situation but a little worse. I was dating a guy but we weren't so much into each other. But his father was single and having a rough time and so was I with my family. We started helping out each other and got a little more personally. But we couldn't do anything because he was in a different state. I am 17 and he is 45. So you do got together, one little slip and he could end up in jail for a VERY long time. And it isn't worth that. He is probably just being a really nice friend. I say stick with being a friend no matter what. That is your best route

If he's known you since you were 12, there's a good chance he sees you as a sort of surrogate daughter. None of the behavior you described, on his side, would be out of place in a parent/child relationship.

Hhealth541 has a VERY good point right there. I know a lot of people that treat me like a daughter. I do agree with him more than my own statement he is probably treating you as a daughter.
