It is and was so bad, the US embassy there, has a warning on its web site.

The 5 year old is a good touch, since it adds more money they can ask for.

Visa and passport about 300 US dollars each. There is no medical and there is no other fees. There is no money needed in the bank to leave the nation.

So basically any amount over 600 or 700 dollars is a scam.

They would come on a tourist visa, since just meeting online will seldom qualify for any other visa. You visit, if it works , marry and then she applies for change of visa.
