You need B vitamins. Take a regular multi-vitamin.
Sometimes a doctor will give you a B vitamin injection.

What is your present hair length? And, which haircut do you have? How often do you get the cut? Do you keep the hair open, or tie it (tightly or loosely)?

Reply to these queries, after which I will be able to suggest properly.

That happened to me when my son was about 3 months old - I was told it wasn't a terribly unusual thing, and it did stop. I think when I noticed it happening I kind of freaked out a bit and stressed over it, which I don't think helped. As I said, it did stop. I noticed during my pregnancy my nails and hair were growing super fast and were in really good shape (because of the pre-natal vitamins maybe?), and I always thought the issue was kind of a 'shedding' after the pregnancy.

It could also be a thyroid problem. You could have some blood work done to check your levels of hormones, B vits, etc. Then go from there. Good luck.

A little fact. While pregnant, women lose very little hair. The normal hair loss is around 80 strands a day. When you're pregnant you lose very little. Once the pregnancy is over, you lose the hair you were supposed to lose, but didn't due to the pregnancy. I wish I could explain it in scientific terms, but I can't.

It's unlikely that you'll go bald, although I'm sure it feels that way. This thinning will likely stop on it's own, and your hair will fill out again once new strands come in to replace those you lost.

This is just a guess. An educated guess, but a guess none the less. It is possible that there's something else going on, sadly we can't diagnose over the internet. But, the condition I described above, is the most logical conclusion.

Good luck.
