If someone gives me advice on what to do and how to do something I back away from doing it completely until they are nowhere near me.

My question why do I continue to disregard good advice

We don't know anything about you, so you tell us what you think, and maybe we can find a clue in what you say.
I know I rebel when anyone tells me what to do in a certain way - even ads on TV that tell me 'you know you want to look good' or anything at all, it doesn't matter, I won't buy it.
But I do listen to advice, even if I take it home to think about later, and if it's good, I use it.
