So, you're probably saying: "$4!? Really? Who cares!" well, that $4 for me is a difference of $8,000 a year for me. I have done everything I can as far as cutting my own costs and spending as little as possible (taking the bus instead of having the independence of my own vehicle, eating less, cutting my cell phone bill, I don't go shopping or spending money on anything besides rent, electric, cell phone, groceries, and bus pass... I only have 1 pair of pants left and they are beginning to fall apart.. ) After sticking around for 2 and a half years, I still can't get the $4 difference out of my head. Is it okay that my boss offered me $X amount per hour but the day I took the job it turned into -$4X per hour? What can I do about this besides the obvious job hunt? Was this legal? I can't afford to keep this job anymore with the amount that I am currently making. I'm desperate.
