I am an underage teenager still living with my parents. I have went to the doctors before concerning my health (my hands were always in pain and cramping up)- it turns out that I had low B12 so I have been taking vitamins. Lately, though, I have been dropping A LOT of things, even if they are as light as a pencil, I constantly have to re-type things on the computer and my hand tingle. This has also been happening with my feet.
(Also, I crack my hand joints a lot. Even though I am only in my late teens could I be developing something like Arthritis early?)
My family has a history of diabetes- so I am getting concerned because I have been showing some other symptoms that I haven't heard of before now.
Throughout the last three years I have been drinking and eating a lot more. I have also been making roughly 5 trips to the bathroom per day. That is a lot for me because I used to go only once or twice. I am also constantly tired. Sometimes I get bruised that I can't explain and they take almost two weeks to heal.
My question is:
I have expressed my concerns to my parents before but I don't think that they are taking it as serious as I think it is. Should I make an appoitment with my doctor anyway? Could this be serious? What could happen if I leave it too late?

There's only one way to diagnose diabetes, and the symptoms you are describing can be attributed to many other things as well, some serious, others very mundane.

If you want answers you will have to see your doctor. If your parents won't take you and you decide to make an appointment on your own, will you be able to pay the bill?
