I'm on unsupervised probation and I have to pay restitution of 800$ and this is my first time ever being in trouble and if I pay at least 75% of it within my due date and still making payments on it will they throw me back in jail if I make an honest attempt to pay it?

If you have all your finances clearly documented and can present your payment proof in about one minute, it's worth a try. Just don't waste the court's time with speeches about honest attempts. How much you have made, you much you have paid so far. There's no guarantees. They'd rather not throw you back in jail.

The court can put you in jail for not paying, it is done in Ga all the time. You will need to show where you are paying a good percent of income toward this, perhaps 20 percent or more.

But it will be up to the PO, and finally up to the judge
