My name is Jonathan. I plan on joining the military in the next month or so and I need to know how I can lose 25-50lbs in that amount of time. I am currently 6'3" tall and weight about 275. I need to know how I can weigh under 250 before going to the military without medications or lipposuction. Please help. Thanks

That is going to be nearly impossible. Go to the website Calorie Counter Database - Free Online Diet Program (http://www.calorie-count.com) and create a profile (for free!) After you fill in all your height and weight stats, it will tell you exactly how many calories you can consume per day to lose the weight in a set time frame.
Also, my husband and brother are in the military. My brother is 6'4 and weighed about 260 when he joined. There are other guys I know who weighed way over the weight they were supposed to. As long as you are losing the weight and will continue to do so even after signing up and going to MEPS, they will probably still take you next month. You really want to be down before basic but you will not leave for basic the day you join. My brother waited 6 months to go to basic and my husband waited 3 months. You should have no problem losing 25 lbs in 3 months if you are disciplined, eat the correct calories per day and work out (which you will want to do before going to basic anyway!) Good LucK!

That's more weight to lose then is really possible in one month. A steady weight loss of not more then 3 pounds a week, slowly lowering body fat = permanent weight control limiting weight regain, and it involves, eating whole grains, natural foods, like fruits and veggies, limiting sodium, sugar and fats. Eat wheat breads, rices, pasta. Cutting out sodas, fried foods and fast foods is one place to start. Watching how you cook smaller portions-3oz of meats, fish) in olive or canola oil, bake or broiled. Low fat milk 1-2% or skim. Low fat, fat free, cheeses. Along with portion smaller sized meals, exercise, a whole body workout, 4-5 times a weeks will burn a lot of calories. Fat loss diets are low in calories, You want the exercise to speed up your metabolism when you speed up the metabolism, you burn more fat. :)

Try doing some military PT. You HAVE to keep up with it if you want it to work.
Run 2 miles in 15:54
Do 42 sit ups in 2 min
Do 42 push ups in 2 min...
... these will all help you in baisc because that's the PT test you have... yes they do other excercises but those are the only 3 things that count.
RUN A lot! And they can get a waiver to still get you in...
