Here is my situation:
The water level in my floor drain in the basement laundry room is too high
It overflows when the washing machine drains
The toilet in the next room will not flush properly - the water level in the bowl rises, but will not flush away the waste. If I leave the toilet alone, the water level drops below its normal level.
The toilet, sinks, etc, upstairs work fine
When I flush the basement toilet, and then check the laundry room drain(next room over) I can see the level rise and the water stirring
I have augered the toilet, and also rented a power auger to do the florr drain, but had no luck. It was (I believe) a 40ft auger.
I lifted the toilet, and augered the pipe there too (when I lift the toilet, should I see water in that pipe below? Because I did)
I'm at my wits end,
John
