So I was sick throwing up this morning.
And now tonight, my shoulder hurts with stabbing sharp pains down the main muscle, when ever I try to put my shoulder forward or raise my arm above my head.

It REALLY hurts!

I tried ice that didn't help. So I've been using a warm pad, and that is helping.

Could it have been from throwing up? Or did I sleep on it wrong maybe?

I get a lot of sore muscles when I have the flu. I think most people do. Inflammation from the virus, I guess. Ice is for swelling, moist heat is for sore. I would soak in a tub, and then put a damp washcloth between you and the heating pad.

However, there's always the possibility of heart attack symptoms in women, that are different from those men have... how's your heart?

Thanks joy.

My heart feels great. I don't have any chest pains or anything. Or even any heart burn (I heard that a heart attack could feel like heartburn)

I will try the wet heat :) I was doing it dry. It feels a little better this morning. It still seems to hurt most if I move it the wrong way. Mostly extending it forward, or moving my neck all the way to the opposite side.

The arthritis in my spine is acting up too, so that's probably from being sick too? I didn't know illness could make other parts of your body hurt. Other than basic soreness and fatigue.
