Hello I'am bob and I am trying to replace a bulb in the dash of a 93 escort and to remove the gauge cluster I must disconnect the speedometer cable.I have no idea how it is secured and I can't see anything it is up behind everything the manual say's to squeeze the retaining clip but there is very little room and I can't see howw this thing clamps.anybody have any tips on how to remove this cable with out a hammer thanks for yourr help:confused:

Unbolt it from the gearbox end, this will give the cable enough slack for you to pull the gauge cluster away from the dash.

Use your fingers to feel where the clip is then push it towards you at the same time
Pulling the cable away from the cluster.
