Hi everybody,
New member. Glad to find this forum.
I have question:
Subzero 561, Ice on refrigerator back wall. Removed the thermostat 4201260 thinking that it was bad. Then, I realized that the defrost timer 3081180 was the culprit. I turned the centre stalk manually, every 360 degrees, it went to defrost mode. This timer is 6 hr 21 minutes, but the centre stalk turns on its own only 45 degrees in 24 hours.
Need your expertise:
1. The thermostat has two capillary, one small, the other with bulb. I need the installation instruction to put both capillaries back. Exact measurement, how long these capillaries should be inside the evaporator?
2. Where to buy defrost timer 3801180.

Thanks friend

The cap tubes on thermostat have to go back exactly like they were before or it will not work right. You can find your part here: Appliance Parts - AppliancePartsPros.com (http://www.appliancepartspros.com/parts.html)

Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion.
The problem is that I already removed it.
For the pipe with bulb: No problem, I can follow the previous bent. But, for the other pipe without bulb, I don't recall how long it was inside the evaporator, or whether it was sticking out a little bit from the bottom of evaporator.
From another forum, somebody said he got the instruction when he bought a new thermostat.
I am trying to use the old one.

Thanks anyway

Try it the way you think it was. The problem is that only you would know because we were not there.
