Hi,
I'm desperately trying to find an old animated film (similar to the last unicorn) that had a huge impact on me when I was young.
I have no clue to how to find it as any search I do draws a blank.

Basically all I can remember is that a woman in blue looses her daughter and has to go on a mission to get her back from what ever took her.
She faces cruel tests along the way.

She has to give up her eyes, her voice, and at one point an evil cactus forces her to embrace him and he sucks the Life/warmth (blood?) out of her I think she also meets a wraith... not sure about that.

All I can remember is that she is practically dead, crawling across a wasteland and I have no idea if she made it or not!

Does anyone have any idea what this film is?
