I have been with my fiancée for 6 years and I didn't realize he wasabi alcoholic till 2 years into relationship. We were recently moving in together and I went over there to bring some stuff and he threatened to bear my dog up. I decided at that point to just not move in and next day started moving my stuff out. We got in an argument which lead him to hit me and I was forced to call police I hated to do that but I had no choice. I haven't heard from him in 4 days so I assume we are no longer a couple, but I miss him so much and love him even though it has been a very stressful relationship. Please help me why can't I stop thinking about him and hoping we can get back together. And I feel like its my fault and his family hates me please help all I did was try to get along with him, but when he drank he got violent and bizarre acting

You miss him because he was familiar to you, you have history together, it's hard to start over.

If you need someone to tell you it's not your fault, no, it's not your fault.

He threatened to kill your dog and you're thinking of getting back together with him? You can protect yourself. Your dog cannot.

Let me see what part of "he hit me" makes you love him, Do you enjoy being hit ?

If he did it this time, he will do it again. Or worst next time.

This is of course why police hate to arrest a man for hitting his wife and why nothing was done much about it for years, a few days latter, she is sorry and even blames herself for being the punching bag, At least till she is almost dead some time. The man is arrested, and a few days latter the women is using rent money to bail him out,
