Want to put flat casters on the bottom of my metal 2 draw file cabinet.
Could use flat head machine screws with nuts but they mustn't be too long
To protrude too far into the bottom of the cabinet
See pictures. Any ideas ?

Flat head sheet metal, maybe #12 should work but nutted machine is safest. Why not put the bolt down and the nut on the bottom?

When using machine screw and nut be sure to use a lock washer to prevent it form getting loose.

Hello, In my experience in this situation I would use nuts & bolts, preferably nylock nuts so that they never work loose. I hope this is helpful to you. Chow kellyseye
