I have been in a relationship for the last past 10 years with a man that is a felon. I have no felony on my record and I am wondering is it legal for his parole officer to keep us from being in one. I have stuck by this man threw his whole prison time. He served 5 years total and going to be on parole for another 15 years. I know what he did and that doesn't matter to me. All that matters is our love. Please someone help me with advice :(

Can he, yes, the parole officer is like a "god" he can rule any and every factor of his life. The PO may come into his home, his work and check on him anytime he wants to.

Now there has to be a reason, so why would he say no ? Normally if he was going to live with you, prior to release, you would have been listed on the parole application. Maybe even a house inspection.

Is your home at a location that is not approved ?

You say no felony on your record, but do you have any convictions?
Do you have small children?
Instead of asking this in a general way, why not tell us why you are asking?
Plus some of this depends on what he was convicted of.

I agree, there is just not enough info, what he was convicted of, is this women a victim of any of the crimes, or somehow connected to the crimes. Small children depending on crime. So many what ifs.
