I live in PA and when I was 18years old I partied a lot and traveled different places and by 19 I had a son, He is 2 years old now I never really knew his father so I couldn't search for him if I wanted to. I am engaged now and my fiancé and I wish for him to be listed as my sons father on the birth certificate... Can I list a father even though its been 2 years already? And What are the steps I need to take to do it?

Your fiancé needs to ADOPT your son. You can't just list some random guy as the father when you know he is not--that is FRAUD.

First, most states require that you be married first.

Second, not knowing who the father is--well, that's going to make it more difficult, because you need to determine paternity first so that the biological father can relinquish his rights.

Your absolute first step is to contact a family law attorney in your area to walk you through this.

Not only is it fraud to list other than the father on the birth certificate, it's also a crime.
