Went to replace track lighting in kitchen. When we took the old light down several wires fell out of old light. It appears that other lights in the house are piggy backed off this wiring. The wiring that we have coming out of the ceiling is as follows. Two red wires that are wired together in a bayonet cap. Another red and black wire coming out of another cable and a green/yellow wire and a green wire that were connected together in a bayonet cap along with another green yellow wire from the old light. I have managed to connect the green/yellow and green wires into a new bayonet along with a new green/yellow wire into the new light. I have wired the black (neg) to new light, however I am unsure whether the white wire (power) and the spare black wire go into the light (I did this but this only resulted in the kitchen track light being able to be turned on from most of the other light switches in the Bathroom and bedroom) or should the black and red wire be wired together into a bayonet cap.. the other lights normally all work off their own switches but at the moment are not working at all. Any help to sort this out would be appreciated.
