Does anyone here who was arrested for theft under 5000 was not convicted because of the help of a lawyer? Thanks.

Please say what country, state, province, store (unless it's not well known), and value of theft.

You're asking if it's possible to beat such a charge with the help of an attorney? It would depend on the circumstances.

Did they catch you red-handed?
Are there any questionable search-and-seizure issues?

In canada, in a food basics store, I pay for some items and didn't for some. At the door the security stop me. It was for about $200. The one I pay were for $124
