My wife has never had regular periods, by that I mean one or two days of cramp and lite spotting every four or five months. Even as long as a week of spotting one time in a year. But Aug. 12 2011 she went in for a surgery, we were told that it was to open a blockage just past her uterus so that she could have normal periods with hospitalizing pain in her abdomen. It was thought by her P.A. that a tube was collapse preventing pregnancy and normal menstrual cycle. But three hours past the 20min time frame I was finally called back to talk to the medical pro. Who in a fit of brilliance spent 4 hours taking pictures and calling for second opinions. He told me that he had done nothing but maybe cleared a blockage that didn't look like it couldn't clear on it's own. And proceeded to tell me that he had never see a female with fully functional carbon copies of all reproductive organs. He said that the only thing he could not see having a duplicate was her vagina and that was because he inserted the camera through her belly button. But now over a year latter and every month from that time on she has been fully bledding or spotting for 4 to 6 weeks continually and only has 2 or 3 days of non menstrual symptoms at a time. My question is what can I do to fix this, it isextreamly embarrassing for her bleeding and cramping all the time and has put a very large strain on our marriage as we are both in our twenties no children and both with high sex drives. And the strain is push us apart both sexually andand emotionally as sex was very emotionally endearingendearing for both of us and a large expressinon of love for each other and the lack of physical closeness has pushed us to the edge of considering divorce. But if anyone has any help they can offer I would be extremely grateful.

First, why is she worried, no one but you and her know ? Next you can have sex while she is on period, so why is the sex an issue ?

But sounds like going back to the doctor or a new doctor may be needed.
