I need some help!

My baby is 10 days old, and the past 2 days he has got a white coating on his tongue and he doesn't seem to be sucking on his bottle properly at first, its like its hurting him to suck!

He doesn't want his dummy, and doesn't seem to settle to sleep for more then a couple of hours.

His temp was 36.2 degrees, and his checks are red..

Please help xx

Call a Physician - it is irresponsible and dangerous to diagnose medical conditions on line.

How long has he been like this without medical treatment?

You've opened 12 threads concerning this baby - have you taken any parenting classes?

The baby needs to see a Physician - and you really do need a parenting class or two.

New babies are overwhelming - let us know what the Doctor says.

Can you post a photo?

I find it really upsetting that you would suggest I need parenting classes! Im a 23 year old, first time mum with a new born baby who I am concerned about!

All I wanted to know weather it sounded like thrush or not! And I'm making an appointment to see the doctor 2moro.

You've opened 12 threads about your pregnancy, childbirth and child - I think it would be helpful to you to meet with other parents and discuss issues and concerns with them, one on one.

Your baby has been having problems feeding for two days and you are "making" an appointment to see the Doctor? Personally if my child might be running a fever, had a thick coating on his tongue, couldn't suck from a bottle, changed his sleeping habits and was, in general, fussy I'd be at the Doctor's office now.

I didn't think I was being insulting. I thought I was being helpful. First babies are difficult because your whole life changes. I thought perhaps - because you have so many questions and I understand you've had off board conversations - that meeting with other parents would be helpful and reassuring to you.

Thrush, when to call a Physician, many areas are covered in parenting classes. They are NOT for abusive or neglectful parents in the event that's what you thought I was saying.
