Hi I've had 4 previous(successful) pregnancy's and my husband and I are discussing trying again. During my last pregnancy during delivery I had some moderate/severe hemorrhaging. I was wondering if my chances of this are greater no that it has happened once.

Can you tell me your experience so that I can advise you better?

During your pregnancies did you eat anything unusual like corn starch, laundry detergent, dirt? Don't be ashamed if you did, it's a quite common craving during pregnancy.

I didn't do anything different from the first 3 pregnancies...

How bad was the hemorrhage? Did you require a transfusion?

Increased bleeding is common with subsequent pregnancies and deliveries. Yes, your risk is higher, but if your OB knows about it, and the nurses who will be attending you know about it, there are interventions that can be considered.

They classed it moderate to severe, I did not need a transfusion but was minutes away from going to the er... What kind of interventions?
