I'm a US citizen with a Russian boyfriend of 2+ years. The idea is to get him into the US and put him onto the Green Card and eventual citizenship road without going the K1 fiancée route. That also includes any option upon which marriage is contingent. While we are technically engaged, I am disinclined to be "obligated" into marriage on the schedule of US immigration laws and prefer to get him into the US legally first, then settle and go about the marriage business on our own convenience, like normal couples. We first met in 2010 in Peru as long term expats (English teachers), then we relocated to Russia the following year where I live currently on a student visa. This past spring he got himself a tourist visa (valid for 2 years) and we stayed with my family in the US for about a month. Before meeting me, he worked as a staff member on a cruise ship and, according his record, has entered and exited the US a total of about 167 times and his record is spotless. How can we get him into America without inconveniently rushing this important milestone in our lives? I am prepared to offer proof to the authorities that this is legitimate and my family will vouch for him. We would live in Maryland where I'm from. We're both in our mid-late 20s and we hold Bachelors degrees.
