I want to get a tattoo for my dad. Trying to translate "Ironman" into Sanskrit but can't find a helpful website. Any suggestions?

A question, why a translation that no one can read, and no one would understand, if it is for your dad, would not something that can actually be read and understood be a better honor.

That is a good point. I originally wanted to use the ironman symbol, m dot, but it seems to be the logo for competitors in the ironman triathlon. I chose sanskrit because I think its beautiful.

And it is your tattoo, and it is always personal.

I am into martial arts and as many into tattoos also. Just a little late ever getting any.

My main one is the symbol of the style I practice, 9 Dragons. Well no one gets it, I am having to add a 9 number to it, even though it is not part of it, so people get it.

If you are doing it just for you, then does not matter if anyone else gets it. If you want people to understand it was for dad or at least the connection, do it when it is understood

Yeah I get that. I have one of an anchor that says 'family' in hebrew. Doesn't really bother me that people ask me to translate it. I got in hebrew for biblical reasons, but also because it was unique. I don't really mind if no one gets it; like you said, its for me. I've learned also that I meet new people that way too. Kind of gives me a chance to share his story a little.

I wouldn't add to any of my tatts to please strangers, but again, your tattoo, your body.
