I have a few things in my past that I am sure would not look good when it came to a backround check. I have a few possession charges, and one petty theft case which I think was dropped. I am not a nurse but they have offered me a position in the housekeeping department. I am just so scared that when I go to get my fingerprints done, it will come back with all these charges. I have been clean for over 5 years and have done drug and alcohol treatment. I did all these dumb things 5 years and more ago. Please help? Im so nervous Im going to quit my current job for this one and end up with no job at all?

Only 5 years is definitely going to turn up... now if it was 35 years ago...

Any felony will most likely prevent you from working there. A domestic violence charge if a misdemeanor may.

But all you can do is be honest and try for it
