Is the child a baby you gave up as a single mom? What is the situation? Usually an adoption is final.

Is the child male or femaie? If so, why do refer to the child as "it"?

'Reopen' a case? You tried before and lost? What was the situation that you think would give you extraordinary rights to change a decision you made? Courts are very thorough about making sure a mother knows what she is signing away.
Mainly, though, the child knows his parents as his parents, regardless of whose DNA is in his genes. Or hers. This isn't a car you repossess.

How LONG ago?
THAT is the main question. If it was last week, you have a FAR better chance than if it was 10 years ago. The longer ago the adoption, the less likely you are to have it overturned.
We need waaaaay more information from you. Where are you? What are the circumstances of the adoption? Did you relinquish voluntarily or were your rights taken away? Are you the mother or father? Was the adoption to family, friends, strangers, or a step-parent?
