My 16 yr old daughter lives in Florida and I live in Virginia. Ex-wife and I share joint custody with physical custody remaining with the ex-wife. My ex-wife is allowing my daughter to fly from Florida to Virginia to spend the weekend with my daughter's 16 year old boyfriend's family home. I am not comfortable with this arrangement. The boyfriends home is about half a mile from my home. Do I have any rights to prevent this activity?

What does the divorce say about parenting - make decisions together, something else? Does it say nothing on the subject?
I suspect there is little you can do.

Even though you may have joint custody, the primary custodial parent can usually override decisions like this.
So, unless you want to alienate your daughter, I would not fight this. You don't say why you are uncomfortable with this. Are you worried about sleeping arrangements? If so, talk to his parents since you live so close. If its something else, lets discuss it.

I would most certainly talk to the parents, to be sure the parents are going to be home and what the sleeping arrangements will be.
