I replaced my B&S engine in my mower and now when I turn the key off the engine does not turn off.
Not sure what to look for.. I had a hard time finding a way to ground the engine to get it to start but now it will not shut off from any of the safety switches like getting off the seat while the mower is engaged,

Hi,
It will do little good to ask what the model of the machine is since on any given fram family a year they can install up to eight different engines. Usually the ignition ground wire is white and it will be on the right side of the engine. Depending on the engine, it could go behind the starter or it could attach to an insulated post toward the front. Knowing the engine numbers could help.
You stated that you had a hard time grounding it to crank it. That usually means the engine mount bolts have come loose and there is no groung for the starter.
Peace,
Clarke
