For 2 years now I have been taking medication for high blood pressure. So far all the medications [mostly in tablet form], cause severe stomach cramps which soon disappear when I leave the tablets off. My GP and consultant agree that it is most certainly the binding agents in these tablets that are giving me the problem. However, no-one has come up with an alternative [perhaps liquid medication.

I have high blood pressure, also. If your GP and Specialist can't find an alternative medication there is nothing anyone here can say.

There are many medications out there, and they can be combined for maximum effect.

I had difficulty with one until I divided the dosage from once a day to twice a day. It was not as effective, but it did/does control my pressure.
