My dad hit a rock with the front tire and it flipped up an broke the side drain plug knocking a piece of the crankcase that the plug seals to out of the case. My question is does the drain plug need the journals in it or can we manufacture a case to hold the oil filter in place as well as sealing the crankcase? The motor is a 1500 in a 1996 volcan Kawasaki. Oil pan. It has two drains this is the side drain
