I had unprotected sex 2 days after my periods ended but I took an I pill within 24 hours. But then I had spotting 10 days before my periods were due and on the date my periods were due I got dark brown discharge which was not normal flow. Am I pregnant??

Here's the info: "... the earlier you take it, the better: the morning-after pill works best if taken within 12 hours of unprotected sex.

According to the 2011 British National Formulary, the commonest unwanted effects are: nausea, mild menstrual irregularity – so your next period may be slightly early or late, low abdominal pain,
headache, vomiting. Severe lower tummy pain could just possibly indicate an ectopic pregnancy, because Levonelle isn't so good at preventing those."

It's a risky pill to rely on to prevent pregnancy when oral (or other) contraceptives are much safer for your body.

It is important to note that it does NOT prevent an ectopic pregnancy.

Am I pregnant? Or does this happen due to excessive usage of I pill? Cause I ve been using I pill once a month for the past 4 months

Probably excessive use - the medical information says that using it as a form of birth control is dangerous, can lead to a stroke, other complications.

So, yes, I think you should see a Physician and, yes, it's not 100% effective.

Wouldn't it be easier to go on a form of birth control?

Always use a condom during sex but even that isn't 100%effective so thought of using the morning after pill for more effectiveness... but you should not over do the usage of such pills

Because that one time we did have unprotected sex!

In the same thread you ALWAYS used a condom. Then, no, you didn't always use a condom.

It's hard to take you seriously.

At any rate, using the "morning after" pill as a form of birth control can and will be dangerous to your heath.

It appears that you are using the "i pill" more than once or so every few months, it is not to be used on a regular basis and you need to get regular birth control pills and use a condom.

But no method is 100 percent, so anytime you have sex, you need to be prepared for a baby
