I was vacuuming in the laundry room. I finish and go start a load of laundry. I turn on the washing machine, it washes just fine, but when it spins, that's when the burning rubber smell starts. We called the repairmen, he suspected it was the belt and he ordered a new one, we get that one in, same thing, I didn't look or feel the cord, should I do this, if you have any information, please just let me know, thanks very much? Also, could this be the motor getting hot?

Odd question, and I'm not an expert on appliances, but I am a mom who does a lot of laundry.
By any chance are you or anyone in your home smokers? Especially inside smokers? When my hsuband smoked inside the house, I could smell a burning smell every time I did laundry.

Call the repairman... oh, I see you did. Call another one because the first one didn't know what he was doing.

It sounds like the clutch is burning.
