I am 18 years old and I have Temporary custody of my 4 younger siblings due to family emergencies. I am taking care of all my mother's responsibilities, plus watching over my siblings. I have already applied for food stamps and I am not currently working. My Mom's boyfriends helps pay the rent, electricity, water.. etc. But my siblings need things such as clothes, shoes and other useful things. Is there anyway I could possibly get help in any sort of way? Anything really; Transportation is a big help. I really don't want to put all the financial burdens on my mother's boyfriend. Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you

Talk to local church groups, the Salvation Army, similar organizations.

Most states have some kind of "energy assistance" program as well as other programs to help people in your situation pay bills and get by. You should be able to find out about what benefits you qualify for (sounds like you should qualify for anything available) at the same place you got food stamps. If not, you can probably find out at your state's website, which is usually "www" dot state abbreviation dot gov. (WWW.NY.GOV (http://www.ny.gov), Texas.gov | The Official Website of the State of Texas (http://www.tx.gov), CT.gov Portal (http://www.ct.gov), etc.)

The agency that assisted in the temporary custody order should have a lot of resources. In my area the local PTA helps families in need.
Keep in mind that you must list financial help from the boyfriend (or boyfriends, you say both) when you apply for benefits.
