So I have a 1995 honda civic. I'm pretty sure it's an ex.
And I'm also pretty sure it's a d16. 1.5 litre.
Not completely sure. Or if that even matters.
But it ran totally perfect. Untell about a day ago. I was coming down the highway.
And it acted like it was in he middle of shifting. And the car wouldn't move when I pressed on the gas. And then while I was at the stop light. It just died.
I got it stared. And got it pulled off to the side of the road. But then it just died again.
After that I kept dying. And then I was idling really weird. Now the idling tamed down.
But sometimes the car won't start. An sometimes it will. And even when it does.
It smells like it's flooded with gas. I have no idea what it could be. I've heard many different things. Fuel pump, fuel filter, ecm, ecu, fuel pressure regulator valve, spark plugs and wires. So I have no clue what it could be. I keep getting so many different opinions. And a lot of them sound like the problem. But the people I've heard it from. Aren't really specialized in honda's. So if anyone has an idea's on what it could be. Let me know please, thank you.

Replacing the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil, located inside the distributor, will solve the problem. Apply silicone heat transfer compound to the back of the new ICM.
