How can you go to and be in the hospital so many times (for what?) and your parents don't know?

Because I've had really hard time breathing and coughing, lets just say my parents aren't that bright when it comes to this stuff

You would have to have smoked much longer than that to have a cough and trouble breathing, especially serious enough to be hospitalized..

I'm 41, almost 42. I've been smoking since I was 16. I have no trouble breathing. In fact, considering how many other health issues I have (not related to smoking), I'm shocked that the smoking isn't an issue.

You've been smoking for 4 years and you're having issues? Well then, the answer to your question is simple. Stop smoking! DUH!

I don't understand what advice you wanted other than "stop smoking". That's really the only option you have, and it doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

If you were in even once, yes, she did.

Stop smoking those illegal cigarettes you can't afford, and pick up your spelling book (and study it) instead.

Where do you buy the cigarettes? You are underage.

Well, seems like you're paying the price for smoking too. You've only been smoking for 4 years and you're already being hospitalized for it.

What did you expect by coming here? A quick fix? If I had that do you think I'd be smoking?

You made the choice. You're not old enough or mature enough to make that choice, but you broke the law and did it anyway. There are legal ages for smoking for a reason. But you didn't care about that.

Fact is, you made that choice, now you have to choose what to do next. Continue smoking, and one day your numerous hospital visits will end badly, or quit.

There's no miracle to quit. There's no secret that smokers wanting to quit hide from other smokers. Sadly, it's up to you and what you choose next.

I have to say, I really don't believe your story. You're 14, claim to buy the cigarettes yourself. I don't know of one place where 14 is the legal age to smoke, and you yourself admit that it isn't. So how do you get these cigarettes? I had to show ID when I was 16 buying smokes. I sometimes have to show ID now, and I'm almost 42! Also, you've been hospitalized many times due to smoking. Doubt it. You have other issues if this is the case, and smoking may be making those issues worse, but it's not the main cause.

Not buying it. If I had to bet I'd say you're a bored teen wanting some attention, negative or positive, doesn't matter, you just want someone to notice you.
