I was in a long distance with a guy I really loved. He was even saving up to buy me a ring. Just recently it came out that he had been texting some girl, receiving dirty pictures from her and flirting. He lied, and lied to me until I presented him with the proof I had.. Took him too long to own up to it... And his lies were so believable. He says he will do anything to get my trust back. That he loves me and wants to marry me. I am getting ready to start my last year in college. So a part of me thinks being in a long distance relationship with someone I don't trust anymore at the moment is going to be too much stress while I'm finishing up nursing school. The other part loves him dearly and just wishes this never happened or at least he would have told the truth the first 20 times I asked him too.. all I can think about is other lies he may have told me but won't admit cause he didn't get caught.. What do I do? How can I get that trust back?

You're joking me right? You're the one asking how to get the trust back? This coming from the person who the trust was lost to.

Trust is a very interesting topic. Personally I think it's one of those things that isn't easily earned if earned at all. See the thing about people is, we hardly ever change, I guess that's where the "Once a _____ always a _____." comes from. So I think trust is something you have until you have it no more and right now you should have no more trust in him.

Love is clouding your judgement and it's clouds like these that keep people in relationships that they shouldn't be in.
