One burner on my gas stove is acting weird.

The flames have yellow tips on them and it is leaving a black streak on my pot. All the other burners are fine.

Is this because there's some junk stuck in it that just needs to burn out, or does it indicate air getting into the flow somehow ?

Thanks
Beth

It sounds to me like not air getting in, but not enough air getting in. Yellow means not enough air for the fuel. Check back where the gas goes in the tube to the burner. See if anything is blocking the holes where air is being drawn in. I am a little slow to suggest messing with any adjustments. They should have bee carefully set at the factory or when the stove was installed. Is it possible you may have bumped one when cleaning? If so, you might cautiously open it back up a little.

Where have you been? We can use your rescue experience in dogs.

I have been majorly swamped with rescues coming in... even if I'm not fostering them myself, I have ended up working their intake.

Last weekend we just got 4 in who have been living outside year round in the northern Adirondacks... with word of the person having 18 more ! I'm whipped from just handling transportation, vetting and other logistics
