Before anything else, read up (library books!) on the care and handling of one.
Are your parents on board with this?

Where do you live? It varies. How much experience do you have caring for and handling other types of snakes?

I live California and I have experience caring for snakes because my uncle owned a pet shop and I helped with the snakes I would feed them and make homes for them
