Has anyone had any experience with Provigil and do you think it really works to help people with excessive daytime sleepiness?
This medication is for narcolepsy and sleep apnea currently. However it has an investigational use for fatigue.
Now, daytime fatigue can be caused by a number of different illnesses, just one of which is anemia.
If you have not yet, it would be a wise decision to get a complete check up including blood tests prior to taking this medication as it is a Schedule IV Controlled Substance and is rarely prescribed any longer.

I would estimate that 75% of the patients I've seen on Provigil say that it really works and keeps them awake during the day.
