I'm 47 years old and I wasn't expecting to get pregnant but I haven't had a period since May but I thought that I was might have been just going through menopause.I finally thought that I may be pregnant because of the symptoms but today I saw a pinkish color blood.I'm worried.Going to the docs but should I be worried.

Of course, if you have sex, you could be pregnant. Did you use birth control?

Not really but it is better to see your Dr. he is the only one who can diagnose if something is wrong and give you a peace of mind.

You don't think a 47-year old woman can get pregnant - ?

Worried, not really, pregnant, or change of life, neither is some to worry about

I'll bet a box of cookies that you are starting menopause. Why would you think pink spotting can't be menopause? Let us know!

My best friend was born when her mother was 52! Doctor told her - and I don't know if the same "rules" still apply - to use birth control for two years PAST the end of menopause, cessation of the menstrual cycle.

I'll punch this in here for some reason or other - my last Gyn checkup I was in the waiting room with a woman who complained, nausea, back aches, sore breasts. We were talking and she was concerned she could be pregnant at 45-ish. During our conversation she referred to her recovery time, how long she was off work, following her hysterectomy.

Long pause - ? What the heck?
