My husband was on court order to take random drug tests before hand he was a heavy smoker but since the end of April he quit then when he would be called to take tests his levels would be higher tha the last test. They would go up and down. Now he had a recent court for this and they put him in jail he wasn't smoking. Why are his levels going up and down? Please help

First, that is a common phenomenon when testing for THC in past heavy users. Part of the problem is usually failure to control for creatinine. By normalizing creatinine at least the test starts on a level playing field. Do you know if that has been done.

It would also be helpful to know the amount of variance involved. This would show as THC and THC-COOH. All of that should be on the lab report.*

What is his height and weight? Body fat is also a key variable.

*at that time the levels should be low. While the up/down phenomenon is to be expected it is unusual that it would persist at 90+ days.
